LOOK @ ME NOW
Some major steps for this project was you had to get out of your comfort zone
and really talk about yourself and who you are and I know it was kinda hard for some people.I've learned a lot about myself and who's important to me and also how quickly things can change. I wish I had more artsy supplies and better and cooler construction paper and more pictures.
I think the best I worked on this was the set up of it and the like theme. The most enjoyable part
of this project was putting on the pictures and writing about my dream. The least enjoyable was nothing
I honestly liked this project a lot. I don't think they should change the project I really enjoyed it and putting it together.

MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH
In Humanities we had to write Motivational Speeches for our "It Factor" my it factor was Justinian I and I wrote about declaring war to North Africa and how we can beat them. Also I have my editorial on here talking about the negatives and positives on The Industrial Revolution.
Motivational Speech
Before me stand the citizens of Rome, Vandals of North Africa, moving like cheetahs, are coming closer and closer about you. They have come for revenge from there last visit when we had demolished them. So far they are in Italy equipped with weapons and are hiding out ready for battle, we don't have much time.
We need to start preparing ourselves for any undercover attacks. The Vandals are near, they are determined to destroy you and your children and occupy this godly land themselves. Don't be worried for this fight will only make our empire stronger and our fighting skills tougher. We’ve beat them before and we can do it again. Courage is asking for a time out, to shed a tear, to dust yourself off, and then getting back to fight for what you stand for. You are the change, you are the hope for a better future. We will win and we will win with pride! We must help each other protect and keep families from danger. This is the time to show your true strengths we mustn't leave a soldier behind, we work together, we fight together.
We need to attack first and win this battle. All of you men have the strength, technique and courage to fight these men. Sharpen our swords, make more weapons, train our men. We must send our strongest men, wives and children must be held in a safe house. No harm shall be done to my people. There will be a moment of wanting to quit and fear will be pumping through our veins. We will start to feel weak and vulnerable but we arent. We will keep fighting we will win this for our country and our people. That flame inside us shall start to become a fire and all our rage and anger will be taken out on North Africa. A fighter never gives up, tell yourself you are the change and you are a champion! Remember who you're fighting for, your fighting for you country, for your land, for your family. Remind yourself you are not afraid and that you are not weak.
Citizens of Rome, we will attack. Our families will be safe and we will be doing this for our country. We shall protect our country and keep fighting until we win. This is not a game men. This is war. You will not give up, you will keep fighting. You will keep reminding yourself this is for your country and family. You will have fear, you will feel like losing, but you must keep the fight on. We have destroyed them before and we can do it again. Our weapons are more powerful than theres, our techniques are more complex than theres. We are smarter men, we are stronger and we will fight until we WIN!!

With Great Change Comes Great Trouble
“Not everyone has seen the benefits of The Industrial Revolution”
By: Zoe Ryan
The Industrial Revolution was the most extraordinary time. Lots of different situations were happening, such as population growth, apartments, new types of transportation and many more. These were all important and amazing events, but we tend to forget about the negatives during this time such as, poverty, child labor, gender inequality, etc. Though this time was new, and a change for the world there are also things that need to be fixed about this time or changed to be even better. For now we will discuss the great discoveries and the positive side of The Industrial Revolution.
Before the Industrial Revolution we all had important roles, children and men would farm and provide our village with food while women would work inside with making clothing or blankets who then would sell to the merchants and then sell to the towns people. This was only the beginning, we started to change the system by not leaving any of our fields fallow and using crop rotation which helped with planting different foods at the same time. Then we started inventing seed drills that helped by having us use less seeds and better crops. Wives at home making clothing and blankets then starting getting bigger too, in 1769 the spinning wheel was created. This helped women with making clothes faster and easier they started replenishing the spinning wheel by making it better each time. The only down side to this is that these inventions just got bigger each time and soon the wives had to move out from making clothes inside their homes to making clothes in a factory with bigger machines. You’d think that wed just here but no, this was just the beginning of this revolution. This was also the time they start creating railroads and steam engines making transportation easier. With all these new discoveries there became a population growth that was from 5.5 million to 9 million in only a couple of years. This is when the started making “Modern Buildings” (apartments) this helped with population growth by making these huge structures fitting more people. This then brought more tourist to see these amazing discoveries. We also had first created “middle class” the inbetween of rich and poor.
Although there was a lot of amazing and new stuff going around at the same time we still
had a lot of things wrong. There was a lot of capitalism between the merchants and the women. Merchants would buy from the women at a cheap price and then sell to others for a high profit making them get more money. Farmers had to leave their homes and move to live more in the cities to work in the factories and with the machines. Britain had all these new discoveries when they could have been sharing with other countries or trading. Changing class structure, when middle class was created might have been a good idea but from this there was less of the good jobs and it seems poverty just grew from it. Modern day buildings were fantastic ideas but did they ever thing of the safety hazards, these buildings were made up of iron and glass. Some weather controls can break glass or small children can fall through glass and falling and could possibly lead to death. There was also child labor starting to evolve. Children at the age of six years old would start working with dangerous machines and work 12-14 hours with a 40 minute lunch break. If the child were to be late they would be severely beaten. The children were only paid a fraction of an adult and sometimes not paid at all. There were many deaths or injuries on the job almost everyday. There was a lot of abuse for these children verbally and physically from factory owners. Children were also used for mining because of how small they were they could fit into places adults couldnt. They called them kid hurriers and they too would work 12 hour shifts and having to haul loads of coal on their backs. Not only did children have it bad but, women around this time were looked at as weak and would have to serve for the rich and get paid less than men. There was a lot of discrimination against women because they “couldn’t do a mans job”. The only jobs women were offered or allowed to do was textile work or servants.
Ways we can change these negative sides are having to prevent farmers from leaving their farm and family by just letting them farm. We also need to start trading with other countries and get more of the supplies we don't have, we can use all the cotton we had or transportation and share with other countries or trade. Child labor should not be so brutal. Children should be allowed to work when at an age of 14 not 6 and less hours and days. These children should not be working 12 hour shifts they should be working 3-4 hours and in a safer environment and have a 30 minute break and not be abused. Child miners should have to crawl in dangerous tight spaces but they should instead invent maybe any other machine to do the job. Since we've made all these discoveries that doesn't mean we should just stop here. Children should be living there life as children not adults. Women should be able to work a mans job and make as much as a man and not be discriminated because they are women. Women should be allowed to work for shorter amounts of times so they can be home to take care of their children. We should make our country even better by making changes towards child labor or having gender equality and helping poverty instead of ignoring it. Rich should start helping or giving to the poor and we should work on these problems as a community.
In conclusion, I believe The Industrial Revolution was an eye-opening time especially for tourist and townspeople, but I also believe it was a rough and tragic time. That just defines something so amazing and great can also be something so scary. There was new findings and new inventions but there was also abuse, poverty, and discrimination. My opinion on The Industrial Revolution is that yes, the history of it was amazing and exciting to get into but also there could have been things changed or adjusted.
